This is a yahoo's link that contains several links that

explain their advertisements which includes the new

location above your list of emails with the Dollar sign.

NOTE: It seems no one has come up with a way to

delete the ad above your inbox emails. For now you

are going to have to live with it.....UNLESS you subscribe

to AD FREE MAIL.....explained at the end.

I have found if you increase the size of your font by holding

down the CTRL button (lower left/right on your keyboard)

and rotate the wheel on your mouse forward to increase the

size of your font you can force the ad off the right side

of your email page. You can also accomplish this by holding

down the CTRL button on your key board and clicking on the

plus "+" sign to increase the size. You will then have to scroll

to the right to read all of the text.

AD BLOCK seems to be working. Good Luck

    Firefox

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adb...

    Google Chrome

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-...

    Internet Explorer

    http://simple-adblock.com/

You can enter AD BLOCK PLUS FOR (whatever version of IE you are

using) in your web browser if the above one is not your current version.

    is for the wrong version.

This link is a helper site for Ad block Plus.... https://adblockplus.org/en/elemhidehelpe%E2%80%A6

The following link has been reported to help if using the Firefox browser

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yah...

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If you don't already have these browsers...

This Yahoo link displays the latest versions of IE and MacIntosh

browsers that work best with Yahoo

this is another one that might work.

    http://www.macupdate.com/info..php/id/261%E2%80%A6 - for Safari Mac

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And if you want to pay for the ad removal hover your pointer over the

GEAR...upper right....while in the INBOX view..click on AD FREE MAIL

    It costs $49.99 a year.

There is no way to stop or delete so called sponsored emails which is of course just a fancy word for Spam. I have adblock and it most certainly doesn't stop them fortunately they eventually self-destruct. All I have done besides not opening them is stop using my Yahoo email account except for Yahoo Answers and as a storage facility for my files, instead I'm using windows live mail and hush mail both are free and neither of which subscribes to the sponsored mail nonsense of Yahoo and Gmail.

Susan - You authorized the ads when you agreed to Yahoo's Terms of Service and created your account.

Post your opinion of the new sponsored text ads on the Yahoo Customer Feedback forum - https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/210695

If you weren't aware of Yahoo's Ad Policy and would now like to close your account, here's how.

Closing your Yahoo! account - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/SLN2044.html?impres...

Perhaps one of these email services will better suit your needs.

If closing your account isn't an option the following articles may provide some relief.

Remove or hide ads in Yahoo Mail - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/SLN3591.html?impres...

Here's one way to get rid of the new Sponsored text ads.

Overview of Yahoo Ad Free Mail - https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail/yahoo-free-mail-sln...

If that's not an option, here are two more things to try, depending on what browser you're using.

You could install an ad blocker, such as AdBlock Plus and see if it is effective at removing these ads. Be aware these add-ons can hinder the operation of some web functions, so you may need to disable them in order for some websites to work properly.

Others have said that the Firefox add-on called "Yahoo Mail Hide Ad Panel" available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yah...

can remove all the ads, including the new sponsored text ads but I haven't tried it.
