Could I make money playing classical guitar on street during summer?

Attached pic is my repertoire for classical guitar. Looking to make some cash during summer, live in town of about 60k, would play downtown. 17 years old classical guitarist, I play pretty cleanly

I would say yes. At the same age I played on the streets (clarinet) with a friend and we made quite a nice amount per hour - I can't remember exactly how much because it was many years ago (20+) but I do remember thinking wow if I could do this full time I would be rich! I also did babysitting at the time and the hourly rate busking was way higher! It really doesn't matter whether you are more or less skilled than other buskers - people do not listen actively and go round comparing performances. If you make an effort to look nice you will make more money too, as people will realise you are an aspiring musician (rather than a bum) and reward you accordingly. Good luck and enjoy it - I still look back fondly on my busking days. (I was in a major city of 1m people and a suburb of 100k people. The suburb paid as well as the city centre.

Your definition of "pretty cleanly" is vague and can cause some confusion. I certify that other musicians in your town will play in the streets for $$ too. They may or may not be of higher skill level. Music you will find is very competitive. I personally don't believe you'll make that much of an income (many classical guitarists don't earn as much as people in other fields of work unless they teach). I'd be skeptical about doing this yourself (economics not being the only reason). Try asking other people (your teacher for example) before continuing.

If the town has a downtown walking/shopping district, that would be good. That way, you can still be on public property, but it's still a place where people have loose change.

If you simply begin to enjoy the guitar then you need the best courses on the market to learn how to perform that hard instrument and the most effective is Jamorama website, here https://tr.im/8UZov .

In the event that you are going to learn the guitar for the first time (Or maybe you attempted before and only could not obtain the "hold" of it), then Jamorama is the best class for you personally because every session has a video to accompany the rules, and when you've gone by way of a week of instructions, you are able to obtain and printing a workout page related to these lessons.

The video instructions explain to you how exactly to play notes – the fundamentals of playing guitar. You'll learn how to perform important, modest, 7th, and blank chords. If you never know very well what any one of that means, don't allow it to scare you. It's all discussed at length in the videos.

The best thing about this really is once you get these fundamentals down, the titles and the technicality only move to the backdrop and you don't obviously have to think about it a lot more – you are able to just enjoy!

My friends and I play at this coffee shop downtown a couple miles from my house. I wouldn't say that it is busy by any means (unless there is an event), but I usually make 15- 20 dollars. I have to split it 3 or 4 ways though. We play for about 2 or 3 hours. Just make sure you have an amp so you can be heard.

    Hi there,

A great online guitar course with thousands of videos and a step-by-step method is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=554. It's really great. In my opinion the best guitar course available online both for beginners/intermediates and advanced users.

    Have a nice day
