Signal boosting question?
On the 20th of June I'm leaving for a trip. I've been there before and I know, that there is really weak cell signal (reception/service). I've got the idea of taking a cable with a 3.5 mm male jack on both ends, plugging it into my phone and holding it to a lightning rod. The cable does work as an antenna for the radio, but will it work the same for cell signal?

you should connect antenna probe to anther vertical wire or rod......
not to headphones jack.....
