What are some good defensive back drills to work on this summer?

I am competing for the starting position at my high school. I want to come 8th to practice as well prepared as I can be to get that spot. What are some good things to work on?

I played OT so I know what I hate in a DE Speed Quickness- (Good first step) Strength- if you can fight me off it makes my job tougher some good drills are have a buddy get in the center position then have him snap the ball randomly- fire off the 3 point stance for a 5 yard sprint repeat practice specific moves like the swim or the rip move with a friend and get stronger obviously!

Remember, the best way to prove yourself is through actions, not words. My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this summer (and every offseason) is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch starting defensive back in high school football, who could go on to play college football in the future.
