Why my motorcycle turns off or wants to when I lean it on curves?

Sup, that's it, new bike (Suzuki Savage 650).

So when I'm on my way in the highway, sometimes, when I have to lean in curves, the bike stops in the middle of traffic (hasn't happened accidents so far).

But I want to know why.

Even after this, I made the "experiment" by moving the gas tank from left to right when I got home.

The bike wanted to stop but it didn't because I was giving it gas.

So what's it, carbs?, some gas problem?, let me know pls.

Update:

Update: I tried to start the bike to get it to fix it, it didn't start at all, could be something related to the battery?, ahhh!!

Since it is a new bike get it repaired under the warranty.

I would guess the problem comes a poorly routed cable, does the problem happen when you lean in one direction only?

It sounds like the centrifical force is keeping gas from going into the engine on those turns. Try installing the top of the line spark plugs and that should fix the problem.

I had the same issue until I did this.

  • It's a 1997 bike, it's new to me I should specify.

Yeah, I think it has to do with the gas going to the engine in an specific positions.

Not sure if your bike has a "bank angle sensor."

The sensor is used in case of an accident (bike falls over on it's side).

When the sensor is activated, the fuel pump and spark are turned off.

Suzukis are prone to having bad sensors.

Like I said, not sure if your bike has one.

Not to into street rockets, but it sounds like your BAS (bank angle sensor) it kills the ignition if the bike should fall over. Ex: Harley is set to 45 degrees, and Buell is set to 55. I'm not sure what yours will be.

Now again, I could be totally wrong. I don't work on those. I do dirt, quad, Harley, Buell and choppers. Respect the Japanese street bike, just don't work on them.

I agree with Jon, and have a similar background as him. It would help to know the year of the bike, and if it was injected or carbed. The BAS is a good start. To test if it is, unplug it and see if the problem continues. Could also be the wiring in the kill switch.
