Experimental time, Do you want to curb your over eating, if so try this= eat a good meal. Then when your real hungry again, instead of eating more food put 4 tablespoons of salt in a cup of hotwater and stir it, then drink it. At the worst it will make you want to throw up, but if you ate a good meal say a couple hours earlier. Then you wont have anything to throw up and it might trigger your system to quit the urge's to over eat. It cant hurt you, but what you really need is something to stop the urges and by drinking saltwater, it just may stop those extra urges. Mike

Maybe start stocking your fridge with healthier options. Keep nuts, fresh fruit and veggies (already cleaned and prepped), grilled chicken strips, yogurt, etc. available so that you can reach for food and continue to eat but, you are eating healthier foods.
Remember that everything is okay in moderation but, it is moderating it that can be hard. It is easier to just remove the temptation all together. If you do not buy/stock your fridge/cupboard with these items you can't eat them. Then when you do decide to have a treat day (again remember moderation and do not go overboard) only purchase the serving size that you have allowed yourself. This may be a bit more costly but, it is worth it in the end (i.e. only purchase the small snack sized bag of chips instead of the family size that would only be a $1 more for triple the size). By doing this you cannot over indulge in the foods that you have treated yourself with or restricted.
Good luck! Remain strong and you will do fine. Always remember to drink lots of water and try to exercise as well. :)

You know the problem and need to address that.
You have to work out why you reach for foods and it may be a mind thing if you have had an emotional upset or something like that. The best remedy is to discuss the matter with your Doctor to see if you can work something out or if you need just advice by a dietician or mental health
It may just need a good kick in the butt to sort things out in your mind and get a grip of yourself. You are old enough to know it is harmful for your future long term health
