    It was a quote of his, he had written it to Sister Penelope (who wrote many letters to him) after she wrote to him about a book called Out of a Silent Planet. You can find the letters in a book called The Collected letters of CS Lewis.

    As others have said, it was in a letter to the nun Sister Penelope (9th July 1939)

    But you've slightly misquoted it. He wrote "romance", not "fiction":

    "Any amount of theology can now be smuggled into people's minds under cover of romance without their knowing it."

    He wrote it in a letter, here's a citation:
