I think that words still mean something. But I also think that people need now to translate words into action as well in order for something to be accomplished. Words had more meaning when less people could read or write and the power of persuasion depending less on set stages with cameras and 'sound bites' and more on the true message of the oratory. But that doesn't mean that words have completely lost their impact.

they still mean something, actually words can kill. intonation of the words or how we say it has an effect to the person and can evoke in him different emotions, so it still mean something of course. words are very powerful.
