Why do these so called "Real NFL Fans" hate bandwagoners!?

Those who read stuff on ESPN, or NFL site/Facebook site, you tend to see many of these "Seahawk fans are all bandwagoners", but why does it bother people so much? I mean, sure, i'm a Seahawk fan, not a life long, sure since 2005, but even through their 4-12 in '08 and 5-11 in '09 season, i still supported them. I'm also a fan of the Dodgers, Lakers, and Kings for as long as i can remember. Does that make me a bandwagoner? Of course looking at those teams, 2 of those 4 won the national title. Dodgers are doing very well right now, Lakers came off a 27-55 season. I'm only 20, so i was 11 years old when i became a Seahawks fan.

But serious question, why do people hate bandwagoners? I personally don't think there is anything wrong when a team gets good and have new fans. Some can be annoying, but hey fans are fans, if they want to be apart of it, go right ahead. And to those haters, no one hated the Seahawks until they got good, doesn't that make the "real nfl fans who hate the Seahawks bandwagon", bandwagoners too?

A bandwagoner cheers when the team wins and acts like he isn't a fan at all when they lose. If you stick with one team in each sport through the good times and bad, you are not a bandwagoner, EVEN IF all the teams you root for aren't local or the "closest" to you geographically. This is how a typical conversation with a bandwagon fan would go.

    Him: SUPER BOWL CHAMPS BABY!

You: Man, this makes all of those years we've had to suffer pay off. Russell Wilson really is a tremendous playmaker. Remember those dreadful days when Seneca Wallace was our quarterback?

    Him: Who's that?

You: ....uhh, he started half the season in 2008 when Matt Hasselbeck got injured.

    Him: Who?

    You: Never mind (Annoyed)

Nobody likes to talk to a guy who acts like the biggest hardcore fan of a team when in reality, he can't tell you anything about them from even 3 years ago. It's fake and it's not worth your time to engage that person in conversation. When your team loses a game, you then wonder where that one guy went.

The Seahawks just won the Super Bowl, so therefore they are currently hated by a lot of NFL fans, and "bandwagon" is just an easy name to call someone if they don't have anything else to call them.

But I think it's rather stupid considering the Seahawks were still selling out games during their bad years. But I could not care less how many "bandwagoner" a team has. If anything, they are good for sports and the growth of that sport's popularity.

Because bad wagoners don't know anything about thier team. they don't care about who the team drafts or injuries or anything like that, they look at the win loss record and then troll rival fans because thier flavor of the week is winning. The wouldn't be able to name the last 3 first rounders by the team or who the backup QB is, but they I guess are big enough fans to misrepresent everyone else

  • I try not to be a "loyal fan." I think it's dumb to buy jerseys with other some other dude's name on it. I prefer to watch the game more than my favorite team. It helps me think rationally when I am talking about the week's action to friends or when I'm talking to you sh!theads.

You try talking to Patriots fans and it always ends up in a yelling war about Tammy Brady is the second coming of the Messiah.
