Anyone bother to see if I now have got this right?
1. Herod is not a name, it is a title like Caesar or Pharaho.
2. Herod the tetrarch, now that's just a mathematical word that means «a ruler over a fourth of something.» Herod was the ruler over a fourth of something. This man's real name was Herod Antipas
3. Herod the tetrarch (Antipas), was the one being reproved by John the Baptist for Herodias.
4. Herodias was his brother Philip's wife
5. Herod Antipas was Herodias uncle.
6. Herodias was the granddaughter of Herod the Great by another mother.
7. Herodias father was Aristobulus and son of Herod the Great.
8. When Herodias married Philip she was marrying her own father`s brother.
9. What precipitated the arrest of John the Baptist was that Herod Antipas (another of Herodias’ uncles) talked Herodias into leaving her husband (his brother) in order to marry him (Mk 6:17)—thus compounding the incest, as well as violating Lv 18:16.
Leviticus 18:6 “None of you shall approach any one of his close relatives to uncover nakedness. I am the Lord.
@WwwdotBibleSelectordotcom. Thank you for great answer. However I am not sure I agree in the "name" issue. It does not really matter, but if you compare to the title "King".
King Arius .. .. 30 years.
King Aralius .. .. .. 40.
King Xerxes .. .. .. 30.
King Armamithres .. 38.
King Belochos .. .. 35.
King Balaeus .. .. .. 52 (Assyrian kings)
You would never say "King" was a name because the title is well know to us today. However not a big deal:)

1 - no, that is not correct. Herod was, in fact, used as a name:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herod
2 - Correct regarding the name, though in fact several Herods were tetrarchs
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herod
3 - correct
4 - yes...technically...sort of. Herodias was *at one time* wife of Herod II ("Herod Philip"). Herodias divorced Herod II and then married Herod Antipas. There were both religious and political difficulties involved in the divorces (Herod Antipas also divorced his wife to marry Herodias).
5 - well...
- Herodius was daughter of Aristobulus IV and Berenice
- Aristobulus was son of Herod the Great and Meriamne
- Herod Antipas was son of Herod the Great and Malthace
so: yes, Herod Antipas and Aristobulus were half-brothers, so I suppose that Herodius was a sort of half-niece to Herod Antipas
6 - correct
7 - correct
8 - Herod II (Herod Philip) was the son of Herod the Great and Meriamne II - a *different* Meriamne from Aristobulus IV's mother (Meriamne I). So: half-brother.
9 - I think it is more complicated than you suggest. For one: it seems that Herodias divorced Herod Philip rather than the other way around - which was contrary to Mosaic Law (only the husband had the authority to divorce). So: one can see why a Jewish person would view her as technically still being married to Herod Philip. Second: I'm not sure that there is any evidence that Herod Antipas "talked Herodias into leaving her husband". I'm just unsure on that point. Perhaps **she** arranged it - or perhaps her father...which brings me to the third point. Politics was heavily involved in this whole situation.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herodias#Herod_II
It seems likely that Herodias was leaving what was politically a "bad bet" (Herod II) for a relatively stable alternative, and that Herod Antipas probably expected to gain politically from the marriage as well.

H R A D, means in Hebrew letter symbols simply this. H is the window in an empty space, R is the king, Ayin is a symbol that designs our eyes and on occult sphere male balls and ovaries, it is the letter you see mirrored in my avatar, and D is a door. Now, if i translate this in clear text andI need to turn the word around, DARH, what means in Hebrew or Arabic simply "the house" we get this" through a door, seen by the eyes of God, the king hoes in the house". Darh Es Salam means house of peace, and that house is related to the female uterus. To conceal the word Darh, they have shortened it to Dar, they removed the H. Here is the reason why Jesus, our male penis, became crucified, in crossbreed male and female. We call that sexual act or in symbolic way the triple bridge (tetrarch), Male, penis, Female, in Latin that bridge builder is called Pontifex Maximus. Caesar is a Punic word what means "elephant" and the elephant's head is all over the Far East the symbol of male penis. Hanibal, the son of Bael, used those animals to conquer Rome, ROMA, what is an anagram of AMOR, Love, and he went over the Alps, symbolizing the holy mountain of Sinai, the female uterus once more. This Rome is also where Herades, acted as a symbolic metaphor for sexual act. The elephant was uncommon, even unknown in near east, so they used pork heads to symbolize male penis and shells to symbolize female vagina. This is why those cults forbid to eat pork meat and shells, what means that you should not put the sexual organs in your mouth. Anyway, who would ever do such disgusting things, the hell only knows, hahahaha.
Note also that all people that have proven to have lived and whose names you find in the Bible or Qu'ran, the books where there long time before the people, and anyway, Christian Religion having rewritten history to fit their needs, none of us can prove that to be true or false. Even the so called "holy land" is a fake place, a sort of Judeo-Christian Disney Land. It fills the pockets of religious instances and tourism industry, sames as Mekka and Medina do in Islam. But, none of what the books relate to has ever happened there. Religion is about the union male/female in sex to create a child, the rest we know about it is a card house full of lies to gain power and earn big money.
