Where do I see a video of today's Mars landing?
What I do NOT want to see:
- a video of a bunch of people talking
- a "artist's rendition" (simulation) video
I've looked for more than half an hour
and can't find a video that actually shows any of the actual landing.
I would expect to see at least
from a camera mounted on the lander
a video of the approach of the lander to the Mars surface.
I find no such thing.
Is it not yet available?
14 AnswersAstronomy & Space2 months agoIs this the tune to "Batman: the Movie" and/or "Batman the Animated Series"...but from 1962?
Here is the link. Please listen from 13:00 to 14:00 (1 minute)

It sounds at least like the "musical theme" of the Batman tune(s).
1 AnswerMovies3 months agoWhat do you think of this web article that defines and explains the doctrine of trinity?
http://www.bible-reviews.com/topics/trinity-introd...
For people who are familiar with the doctrine of trinity: does the article accurately define and explain the doctrine of trinity? If not, please point out any error, plus if possible a supporting source document.
For all people: can you understand the article? Are the explanations clear? If not, please point out any difficult spots. Also please point out any grammar or spelling errors.
For people who want a different article, something like:
- What is the Biblical basis for the doctrine of trinity?
or
- What is the history of the doctrine of trinity?
Please be aware that this article does NOT address those issues, nor is it intended to do so.
Many thanks in advance to all who spend the time to evaluate this article and especially to those who leave an answer here that identifies a problem with the article!

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 years agoRecent discovery of negative mass...this is (in one or more respects) tantamount to anti-gravity, isn't it?
Please forgive me if the question is ignorant, but I've not been involved in "real physics" for many decades now.
Recent article describing the creation and observation of negative mass:
http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-396429...
Given (quote from the article)
With negative mass, if you push something, it accelerates toward you
That means that acceleration due to gravity would cause a negative-mass object to accelerate in the direction opposite that of the pull of gravity...right? So: any object made of negative mass would act in a gravitational field much as would a positive-mass object in an equal-but-opposite anti-gravity field...right?
So: imagine a space launch vehicle (goal: reach Earth orbit altitude and release payload) made of (room temperature) negative matter. Only fuel for directional rockets required!
1 AnswerPhysics4 years agoRegarding the crazy guy who attacked French army personnel at the Louvre solo with a machete...?
Are we all agreed that he never saw the movie, "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?
4 AnswersCurrent Events4 years agoObamaCare! I went through the annual application today...?
I was told that I don't earn enough income to qualify for assistance in paying for health insurance under the program. In other words: unlike people who earn more than me and who (therefore) receive help in paying for health insurance under ObamaCare (as I once did), I (now) do not earn enough money to receive help in paying for health insurance.
I am forced to pay full price or do without.
Question #1: Is it any wonder that I call it "ObamaDon'tCare"?
Question #2: Is it any wonder that I consider the program a dismal failure? It fails to do the very thing it was (supposedly) designed to do!
8 AnswersPolitics4 years agoJehovah's Witnesses and other Christians, did apostate church leaders add 1 John 5:7 to the Bible?
If the answer is "Yes", please answer the following questions:
A - How do you know that is so?
B - What were the names of those apostate church leaders? (If you don't know any names, how do you know that any of them was an apostate church leader?"
C - What was their rank (their leadership position) in that apostate church? (If you don't know their rank, how do you know that any of them was a church leader?)
D - Which apostate church did they lead? (If you don't know the answer, how do you know that they were leaders in an apostate church?)
IF you KNOW that the answer to the initial question is "Yes", then logically you MUST also know the answers to ALL of those other questions. I'd love to know the answers to them.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 years agoIs there any known natural source of laser light?
I am under the impression that the only known source of laser light is human technology. Is that correct, or is laser light in some cases produced naturally? If sometimes naturally, what are the sources?
3 AnswersPhysics6 years agoCatholics: I thought this was interesting news. Comments?
The full article:
The quote from that article that I found interesting (even though I am not myself Catholic).
Pope Francis is making it easier for women and doctors to seek forgiveness for abortion, by allowing all priests to forgive it.
...
In most countries, only a bishop can approve forgiveness for abortion. They would then delegate an expert priest to hear the confession.
The change is only for the coming Jubilee Year, beginning in December.
However, the rule relaxation will not affect Catholics in England, Wales and Scotland as all priests there can already forgive abortion without seeking permission from a bishop.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoYoung Earth Creationists: can you respond to this article arguing that species evolution is a certainty?
Summary: I'm wondering if there are any well-reasoned arguments opposing any of the claims made in this article.
Here is the article, from a very reputable source:
http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20150803-how-do-we-...
It explains the theory of evolution in simple terms and also describes in simple terms the available evidence.
My personal opinion is that the article is accurate - but I'm not looking for agreement with my opinion. As I said above, I'm looking for any well-reasoned arguments disputing any of the claims made in the article.
So, my question is this: apart from the idea that your understanding of Genesis disagrees with that article, and that you trust Genesis more than you trust that article, what is it about the information in that article that is in error? You can address an individual topic addressed in the article (if you like). You can answer as simply as you like, as long as you use a well-reasoned argument to contest at least one point made in the article.
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoA scientist is quoted in today's BBC article as saying, "Water-ice at Pluto temperatures is strong enough to hold up big mountains,"?
http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-335433...
I know that there are different types of ice...but I guess I assumed that "ice in space" was typical ice - that is, ice-I. What is it about the Pluto ice that makes it structurally so much stronger than ice-I, that is: typical Earth ice?
2 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology6 years agoFor Jehovah's Witnesses (honest question, not trying to set you up): is an archangel an angel, or not an angel?
If you want to address the topic at length, that's fine...but please, please, please, **the first line** of your answer should be one of these things:
- Yes
- No
- I don't know
I am NOT going to follow this question up with another question. I simply want to know for my own edification what Witnesses believe with regard to this **very specific matter**.
A link to an online Watchtower article would be appreciated **if it is directly relevant**, but is not necessary for an answer to receive best answer.
I plan to choose a Witness answer for best answer. Others may answer if they wish - but I want a genuine Witness answer.

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoAre you out of "Babylon", like The Book of Revelation tells us to be?
Note: this question is asked again for the sake of those blocked by the previous asker.
Note: it will help you get "Best Answer" if you do these two things:
a - Describe what "Babylon" is
b - Show using The Book of Revelation itself that "Babylon" is in fact what you believe it to be
