in Massachusetts, does Medicare pay for transportation to a doctor's appointment?

if they don't, is there any other similar service available? i need transportation to newton-wellesley hospital from cape cod, because there is no doctor on cape cod who provides the necessary services, and driving that distance is not safe. thank you.

I am in California and even Medicaid does not pay for transportation to a doctor, and Medicare definitely does not pay for that. You can look for a volunteer driver from organizations who do that. Mass is the most liberal state so I am sure they are there.

No, Medicare does not pay for any transportation for any reason.

If you have a Medicare Advantage plan transportation might be included but most of them don't have this coverage either.

Medicaid, welfare, will pay for transportation in certain cases.
