You mean, a general repellent to push back the mosquitoes before you work in the area?

If so, there is Bonide's Mosquito Beater that uses garlic, cintornella, geranium and other essential oils. You sprinkle it around your yard, and it will repel mosquitoes for a few weeks. http://www.planetnatural.com/product/mosquito-beat...

If you mean "kill all the bugs", really, you don't want to do that. Nature is a balanced ecosystem, and most things that eat bugs that eat your plants are other insects. If you kill them ALL, you'll find your garden is out of balance quickly, and as with any predator/prey relationship, the prey creatures are capable of reproducing at a much fast rate than the predators.

So, you can repel mosquitoes from the area, or just apply repellent to your clothes, but don't try to kill insect unless you've identified a problem. There are organic, less-toxic choices in most cases, but we need to know what your problem insect is (and what they're eating) to give you decent advice on how to deal with it.

One table spoon of liquid castile soap in a quart spray bottle; fill with water, shake and spray.

None exist. You have to have a target pest before you can develop a spray to kill it with.

why don't you go out there and sing them a lullaby?

i'm sure you can lull them into a peaceful state.
