What time of the day did Daniel eat when he fasted for 10, 21 days?

    I can't find the scriptures but fasting meant that they didn't eat or drink for the 24 hour period but if they fasted for more than a few days they were allowed certain nourishment. According to the reference of fasting in Matt 4:2 Jesus fasted forty days and nights.

    Fasting means taking no food, therefore he wouldn't have eaten anything at all at any time of the day and night.

    Midnight, Daniel was cheating his diet and snuck food at night when everyone was sleeping. How on earth would anyone know the answer to this question and quite frankly, why do you care?
