Why aren't any mainstream news sites breaking feinsteins quote about free speech?

It was something along the lines of, "freedom of speech is a privilege reserved for educated professionals", he went on to say how the first amendment applies only to the press and she proposed specific criteria for journalists that would be aloud this privilege. I'm assuming this alludes to then giving licenses or maybe just guidelines for when they do want to shut someone up. The words in the quotes are the exact first words incase you want to look it up and watch the video. My question is why are the only sites people are making a fuss about this on independent blogs. Some of them look like the people who run it wear tin foil hats but I did hear these words coming out of her mouth on the video. Just to throw this in hear I think communicating thoughts or ideas are a basic human right, this is elitism and messed up. Sorry I had to throw that in here.

The fact you're going back, and forth on he/she makes me think, maybe you took a quote about HISTORY, because originally that was how Free Speech was defined, if you weren't part of the Elite, you weren't capable of thinking for yourself(it's why the US had the Electoral College, the People could choose a WISEMAN who would make an informed decision for them).

Of course that changed over time, but originally Free-Speech was indeed only for the Educated Elite.

Free Speech is only the right to legal speech without government censorship.

That's all it is, and all it's ever been.

Just because some individual thinks otherwise, that's his or her tough luck.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse under the law.

Obviously the mainstream media are in cahoots with this effort to limit the free speech of the general public.

If we were smart, we would execute people for censoring free speech.

Someone needs to tell him, it's a right, not a privilege.

He who? When I hear the name Feinstein, I think of Diane Feinstein. Of course the cons would love to pin a quote like that on her.

    Feinstein never said that.
