Weber 28/32 2V TDLM - Air Correction Jets, Ford Escort MK4?
Hi.
Car - Ford Escort MK4 1.6 CVH
On the Weber 28/32 2V TLDM carb, does anyone know which side the air correction jets go at the top (As you're facing carb when it's on the car)? One has a slightly larger hole than the other.
Also there's emulsion tubes under these Jets, again one has a slightly larger hole then the other...I'm guessing this goes with the bigger holed air correction jet?

Hi so how old is it as old as the car. having used two choke carbs in the past the idea being the smaller choke opens first and is used for half throttle. when it gets to above half throttle the second choke begins top open twice as fast as the first one. so you get a burst of speed. the air mixture controls are the same any carb really so tickover should be not lumpy provided the engine is in good condition. the air control screw if damaged by jamming it in on it's seat is what tends to happen. so as i said depending on wear this will effect it's performance. if it has a lot of play in the choke flaps and other mechanical linkages it is not going to perform well.
