What was hacker trying to do with amazon account?
I had an email from amazon saying the email address on my account had been changed, showing the address it was changed to. I assumed it was a spoof email. I decided to make sure by logging in to my amazon account but couldn't as the email address had in fact been changed. I called amazon who have suspended the account while they look into it and have have cancelled my cards, however no purchases were made on my account by scumbag hacker, so what exactly was he/she trying to do?

Smallerme- that's what I had thought but they changed the password at 10:30 last night and no purchases had been made between then and 10:30 this morning

I believe he/she would have been trying to use your card/payment method to buy things for him/herself, they would be basically stealing money from you.
