Is there any way of getting on a train for free/cheaper?
I know I could try bunking the train but it's from Dorchester to Southampton and it's too much to pay and I wouldn't be able to bunk the whole way and back again:') I'm 15 so I get a child's ticket anyway

You can save 65p by ticket-splitting via Hamworthy. Child day returns from Dorchester to Hamworthy and Hamworthy to Southampton add up to £11.75. You can buy them online and do not have to get off at Hamworthy.
A child day return from Dorchester to Southampton on National Express coaches can be as low as £6.05, but you have to book days in advance and there are only 2 or 3 coaches per day each way.

You could try and bunk the fare but you are more likely to be caught and end up paying more than the fare in fines, well your parents will and all your gadgets in your bedroom will be on a well known auction site to help pay the fine. If you were my child and I gave you the fare but you end up bunking the fare that's what I'd be doing.

Who put you above everyone else? we all pay our fares, and so should you, save up until you have enough money for a ticket, or ask your parents for the money, don't think of trying to ride without a ticket, that is classed as theft and your parents will be find 10 times the ticket price, not you as you are under 18, but you will have to go to court.

A child's off peak return for this journey is £12.40. I'll let the revenue inspectors at Southampton Central Station know you are coming
