How sick does one have to be to break fast during Ramadan?
While praying Fajr I felt a pain in my stomach. After, I had to expel diarrhea 3 times within half an hour. An hour later, I feel like my stomach is no longer in pain and I'm no longer sick, at least for now.
Point of confusion for me is, my body just expelled enough water within the first hour that it usually takes 24 hours for my body to expel. Although I don't feel dangerously-dehydrated now, common sense tells me that within the next 12 hours I might. So should I just wait until I get to that life-dangering point?

Yes, you have to wait. Unless you actually are in danger, no reason to break your fast. Also, allah will protect you because you're taking a risk and trust allah. Just trust allah, he never fails those who trust in him.

12 hours? Maghreb is soon.
Don't worry, many poor African countries have more diarrhea than you did and more frequently and they last a couple of days without water and food before it gets life threatening.
Your body stores water.
Chill and stop trying to find a reason to break your fast.
