Is Transformers and Twilight the same movie?

I'd say that Transformers is more mainstream than Twilight. Twilight was originally aimed at girls and young women, but both movie series have humour, sci fi, and two types of creatures (good and bad ones) in a war while two main characters are developing a romantic relationship.

I like the Transformers movies (aside from the second one), but not because of the explosions. The story is quite interesting in my opinion, and I don't really know what you mean when you say they have plot holes. Name one.

If you wanna see a movie series with plot holes read about the X-Men movie series plot holes. There are many. As for Twilight, yes the acting is pretty bad, but once again, there are no plot holes, and truth be told, the books are 20x better than the movies. So I agree on some of your points, but disagree with others.

What are you Completely FUBAR ? Twilight is just a Horny woman's wet dream. Transformer is much more; yes its target audience is Teenage guys. But it has a more Sci-fi story (At least the first movie had).

But i agree Transformers is a not a good story. But who wouldn't like explosions and Transforming Robots! I like the smell of CGI in the theater :P. And finally who cares about critics, look how much money the 4 Transformer movie already made. Film industry is about money making, not story making nowadays.

I disagree based on the definition of "same." If there are differences, which you kindly pointed them out, then they are not the same. There are some similarities though. The similarities between them are all the hype around them and they stick to typical genre formulas. For example, Twilight uses the typical love triangle for it's genre and Transformers uses explosions for it's genre.

Both of these movies suck
