Yes, they've already set up their own form of government and have their own military. Plus they're doing fine right now in the middle of all the chaos in Iraq.

Having their own territory might be the solution of the Kurds showing them everybody else in the area how to live in peace and harmony.

as a kurd :
we want to separate from iran & turkey too
we already separated from iraq (since 1992)
but not officially yet
@ other responder : turks are not a part of kurdistan
