Avoid friendzone all together?
,ok so my best friend has known this boy for a good 3 years. She has has 2 birthday parties at my house and he came. We never really talked ever, at all actually until a few weeks ago at my friends bday party ( at my house.) we barley said two words but he talked. The thing is he is so smart and cool and stuff, but all the preppy annoying girls throw themselves at him, and he is too nice to ask them to leave him alone. And he is really cute and popular and I'm kinda not. BUT that doesn't matter to him because he is really accepting.
Okay so my thing is tomorrow him, me and my best fiend (G) are going to be hanging out at my house. She knows I like him so she set it up. I am not really even friends with this boy, but I want to go out with him after we get to know each other better. My question is is how can I get to know him and be friends WITHOUT being friendzoned? We need to start as friends because I can't just be like "let's go out" after a day lol. But I don't want to be in friendzone

Try to be the cool laid back girl. Kinda sounds like you already are. Treat him like a friend but slightly flirt with him every now and again to keep him on his toes. Joke around with him like one of the guys you can be a little suggestive too but make it seem like you're joking so you don't come off as slutty. It's really good to be friends before dating so good idea. Basically be friendly but a little flirty touch his shoulder every now and again or playfully tease him.

Be yourself you already sound like a real chill girl so just joke with him get to know him ask him about whats going on in his life but be flirty as well laugh at his jokes look him in the eyes smile and don't rush into anything GOOD LUCK GIRL GO GET HIM :)
