self conscious about my ethnicity?
I'm a 19 year old who has recently moved from a city where hispanics took majority to a city where mainly white people take it.
I just got hired as a waitress where everyone working is white, I feel like I get stares.. I'm just out of my comfort zone and dread going just because I can't get it out of my mind.
I like to think that I'm and attractive and intelligent young lady who has never doubted my appearance or feared judgment but I just get overwhelmed, my mind races with terrible thoughts.
Around my fourth day here I met a boy, we've been on many dates and he's great. I fear commitment, as much as I want to I can't imagine it being a possibility because I'm just so terrified of other peoples opinions. It's something I can't brush off and hope to pick up advice from anyone that can help. Thanks In advance.

Cut the gossip. Comments made behind your back sting, and don't forget how you feel about those who talked about you. Focus on deep, meaningful talk where every conversation can be a chance to realize a dream or accomplish an aim.
Keep your word. It feels good to be considered reliable, so honor your word no matter what the reasons are for disregarding them. Remember, a promise is a promise.
