What Written Language is this, and what is it?
One of my ancestors (or their nefarious friends) liberated (read stole) this from a temple outside the US in the late 1800's. I believe it's on mulberry paper. I'd like to get it back to someone who wants and understands it. Any ideas on the language it's in? It's accompanied by some bark strips with the same writing on it. Any information appreciated.

I can't tell you what it is but i can tell what it isn't:
Arabic, Thai, Devanagari(used for many indian languages) and kannada.
I think it is something indian, but not one of the above.
Maybe Gujarati?
