no never mine first bike was in 1939 age 5 and still enjoy a nice ride out in the country side now and then
but at 80 have to be careful car drivers don't think about giving way, still I will go on until I drop.

You can definitely forget some of the skills involved in cycling. But that basic stuff you learned as a kid that your parents taught you: how to pedal, how to balance; that never goes away.
Sometimes the ability to balance a bike deteriorates in old age. People who struggle with that can still ride trikes though.

I think not. But you won't be as efficient or skilled as before. You forget the theory and rhythm of biking .... how to lean when turning. But the balance thing is muscle memory. Unless you don't do anything active that requires balance... It should come back.
