Anyone know of any crackling dog toys?
I'm looking for a dog toy that makes a crackling noise. I know there's toys that have like the water bottle on the inside, but those ones are way too big. I need something much smaller and easily chewable. My mom has a teacup yorkshire terrier that loves chewing everything, specifically things that squeak or crackle. My mom lets him chew on plastic (like individual applesauce containers without the lid, plastic utensils, cups, etc) and I'm obviously worried he's going to hurt himself or choke on a piece, so I'm wondering if anyone's come across a very small, crackling toy that he can play with instead of everything else.
I can't do squeaky toys because we have a slightly larger dog that, while mostly more submissive, will take any toys that squeak and tear it apart until he gets the squeaker, but he doesn't seem as interested in crackling toys. I tried to get a crackling bone toy but it proved to be too hard for the yorkie to even make the crackling noise on his own, so I need something with little resistance to making the noise but preferably something that will also last hopefully?
We've tried cat toys. He's not interested in them for some reason and most of them I've found that crackle just have catnip in them.

If you have a sewing machine, find a crackle chunk of plastic, or cut a section from a water bottle and overlap it 2 or 3 times. Make a slipcover out of material from an old shirt, flannel, cotton, thin jeans or whatever, sew up 3 sides and turn inside out, slip the plastic inside - the plastic should just fit into the case you made like a pillow does but it doesn't have to be thick. Whip stitch the open end shut or use the sewing machine. The dog will be able to chew the plastic through the material and it will still crackle. Some of the water bottles are very thin and will crackle easily, you can also use shipping plastic, or save gift plastic etc for making more toys down the line. You can try making a small ball like crackle piece, or a stick like such as 6 inches ling, 1 inch wide, any shape you can think of and sew would work, and they would be too small for the big dog to enjoy all that much.
My JRT cross has his toys all stashed in my headboard on the bed, his biggest is about the side of a Ping pong ball. When the labs or others come to see what he is playing with they usually pass over the toy looking for something 'fun' to play with ignoring the small 3 by 2 inch material.
Good luck

"teacup yorkshire terrier" No such thing, just a poorly bred, sickly runt with a short lifespan fraught with constant trips to a vet and then it dies.
There are small water bottles.

This comes in tiny sizes and is exactly what you're describing. I've always wanted to buy one for my pup, but she's never interested.

What about those cat toys that are like scrunched up wavy stuff. They might work.
