How To Make My HP Desktop Go Faster?

I have a HP S1933 desktop.

Model: HP Comaq 6005 pro SFF PC

Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) 150 Processor 2.90 GHz

RAM: 2.00 (1.74 usable)

GB: 59.9 free of 112

(I am extreamly dumb when it comes to computer's, so please bear with me!)

How can I make my computer faster?. It keeps freezing up a lot. Also everytime I have about 12 tabs up on google crome, it always freezes and it it very annoying. I also love to play Sims 3. I have Sims 3, and sims 3 seasons so far. It freezes ever now n' then when I'm playing the game, but it's not THAT bad. I'm planning on getting another one of their exspansion packs. But I need to know how I can make my computer faster for it. For now, do I need to purchase some more RAM, or GB?

Update:

(Forget that I said Hp S1933 desktop, just realised that was my screen)

It's a desktop, so it's likely easy to upgrade. You should purchase more ram, purchase anywhere from 2 to 6 extra GB (to get your RAM up to 4 - 8GB). RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is basically a memory pool that your computer can access at any time to process information - having more makes your computer go faster.

You should look into upgrading to an SSD (solid state drive). It sounds like you have an HDD (hard disk drive) which is made out of a mechanical spinning drive. The mechanical parts can get very slow over time, but an SSD is "solid", meaning it has no mechanical parts. It goes really fast.

    Your CPU is VERY old.

You can always try using a program like CCleaner or Malwarebytes to clean out your registries and viruses (things that slow down your computer).

Honestly, I recommend getting a new computer. The price you would pay for, say, an SSD upgrade is equivalent to what you would pay for an average desktop computer these days.

Hello. My name is Sanjay Patel, and I currently hold an honorary Master's degree in the field of Computer Science. I am aware of, and have personal knowledge related to your question. There are computer maintenance businesses which are probably in your area, however they come at the cost of hiring a professional to enter your home. There may also be some local destinations where you can drop off your computer and wait to have a technician look at it. These options can often be costly, and pretty inconvenient. The answer to this question can probably be found doing a little extra research on Google.

A well-running computer can be a hard thing to maintain. From my experience, there is but only One software which is reputable- and consistently reliable for healing sick, slow computers. Reimage™ - https://reimagefix.im/ is a world-renown, easy to use software designed by Forensic scientists and made for the average person. This thing will fix literally just about ANY problem you could possibly be having with your PC. Reimage was recommended to me by a Professor during my 2nd year of Graduate school

Two gigs of ram is just bad. You should buy another two, and try to use less tabs.

Games rely heavily on a discrete gpu, which you have not included. You can boost fps greatly by installing one, but it has to be small-form compatible.
