Should I buy NBA 2K14?

I love basketball and especially the NBA, but I haven't had a new 2K game since 2K12. Which I did enjoy mind you, but now its relatively unplayable because of bugs and glitches, and 2K has abandoned the online part of it. I will be getting 2K15/ NBA Live 15 (depending on which is better) around my birthday in October, but that's still four months off which is a long time for me.

When it comes to 2K12, to show you how dedicated I was I would fix every team so they were the same in real life, I would create all of the rookies manually for the past two years, I edited "every" single players overall and abilities to match how they are today; for example Kyrie was like 80 overall, but I put him to 88. He now averages the exact same stats (including percentages) as he would in real life through simming. Same goes for Rondo who is at 89 yet averages 10, 5, and 11.

So I am just asking I'd 2K14 is worth it in the end? I've heard about some of the glitches it has had, but I don't think they rival what I had to go through. Every player had white shoes, rookies arms turned black, 75% of he time when starting a new Association trades wouldn't go through, I would freeze mid game if I tried a certain dribble move, I couldn't create any teams because players would be duplicated for some reason, half the time there would only be the squeaking of shoes on the court (crowd, announcer, commentators were silent), etc. So there was quite a few problems I had with 2K12, yet I still enjoyed y
