Can someone tell me what these symbols mean (pic)?

Can someone tell me what these symbols mean? They were found carved on a lamp found in a used furniture store and I don't know what they mean.

    Those are probably cattle brands, burned into the wood to give it a rustic, western appearance.

    Cattle brands are typically designed from the initial of the herd or ranch owner or owners.

    They look like signs from US college or high school fraternities and sororities, AKA "Greek letter organizations" : "Sigma Delta", "Omicron Epsilon", "Omicron [???]".
