question about gcse art?
Im in year 10 but practically a year 11 because its almost the end of the school year
I wanted to do gcse art but couldnt because I moved to a performing arts school after auditioning and took btec dance
Now ive realised that I actually want to go into the fashion industry as a career instead of dance but because I moved to this school I had to give up choosing gcse textiles and gcse art and im doing business and history as my options
What do I do now?
Can I go into college and do art and textiles there or should I stick to dance even though I doubt I have a good chance of becoming a professional dancer
Im so confused

You need to be looking to get onto a foundation diploma in art and design on leaving school. From there you can apply to a fashion degree.
I would suggest what you try to do now is to go to college and do BTEC Nationals in either art and design or textiles and fashion. Some places might insist on you having a relevant GCSE or BTEC first to start but not necessarily. It will certainly help if you have a portfolio of work and can show a real interest in design and fashion. If you cannot get accepted onto a BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma as it stands I would suggest doing some level 2 City and Guilds courses (usually offered as evening classes or at weekends) in the areas of design, fashion or textiles. Those courses are good, you will learn a lot and it and would show your commitment. If you do enough awards to accumulate 15 credits that is nominally equivalent to GCSE so would likely be accepted as a entry requirement for National Diploma. You can also get certificates, which are usually about 20 credits by studying awards (which are like modules) all in the same area.
You need to find an FE college that is either a specialist arts college or has a strong art department. They will offer level 3 diploma in art and design and/or textiles and fashion and various City and Guilds awards too and they will be able to offer you advice.
