Can I report this guy to the authorities?

Hello everyone. I need some quick advice (professional if possible). I work as a graphic artist and was hired for a small gig by this guy ( I won't name him but will provide a link below). He offered me to pay $50 for 2 hrs for the gig. The gig required more time than that but I still agreed. Even though I showed him my portfolio, he still asked for a sample work for his gig. I did a piece of it and he was content. The next day after I finished the whole project, he tells me that now he has changed his mind as the artwork does not make any sense. We were communicating through skype, he asked me to "wait a sec" and then he vanished.

Now here is the link so that you guys don't think I have some kind of personal vendetta towards this guy: http://goo.gl/JbF7IH

Others have said the same thing about him. Now my question is can I report him to the authorities and would it be worth it? My local PD is very rude (from previous experience). To them this kind of stuff probably would be a waste of time. So what should I do? It is just $50 bucks so may be not a big deal but my problem is that this guy repeatedly does this and gets away with it.

It's not worth the time and money to deal with.. You will have more invested then what it's worth.. Make sure to notify other people you know who he may come in contact with and alert them of the scam..

And he will continue doing it. I'm sorry I have no time for the link at the moment. You need to check this out more, and see where you would report him. If he has a business, then it's easy = Better Business Bureau. You are so correct it is not the $50, this scum bag is doing this and will keep getting away with doing so.

This is totally unacceptable. Ask different people you know, do some P.I. work....and get this scum bag to stop once and for all.

Personally, I would take him to small claim's court, but I would try to find one more person he did this to. Please, do your best..........he truly is a dirt bag!!!!! >3

If I were you I wouldn't bother. It's also not really worthwhile for the PD to look into small-scale scammers. They would need lots of proof and multiple charges and it's just. It's just a waste. Yell at the universe and wrap this up as a bad experience.
