It seems to me that if they are allowed to be ordained priests, they SHOULD have been able to be bishops a long time ago.

If God called those women to be in his service like that, then they were right to do it. And I don't think they should worry about what the Roman Catholics or dissenting Protestants say about it. I don't think they were right for doing a lot of things they are doing either.
But as for women who preach and hold high church office, we can see Deborah as an example of a woman in charge over men.
The letter Paul wrote concerning women in authority, I think, had to do with Corinthian women, who, from the sound of it, were especially rude during services, and had not a background in leadership culturally, and so were unfit.

Of course there should be female bishops. I mean just how does the lack of a penis restrict them in anyway from carrying out their job?
That said I wish they wouldn't shift the goal posts all the time. If they did stick to what their book says maybe we would appreciate how immoral their religion is (women would be barefoot, chained and pregnant is unacceptable). All I am saying is if they throw that out why not throw it all out?

Canadian Anglicans did it years ago. As there is no Theological reason to prevent it, they dids right. There were female bishops in the early Church!

Of course. The only Biblical prevention is on women being allowed to speak in church, and as the C of E allowed women to be readers who can preach sermons in church in 1969, if it has made a mistake it made it 45 years ago!

Early Christians worshiped in houses, before they were permitted to worship in public churches, and many of the gatherings were hosted by women, being their home - which gave them a lot of influence in the early days, until the Catholic Church started demonizing them.

When man builds a religion instead of following God's, due to our fallen nature, eventually God himself is totally removed.

Yes, I just read that. I can't see anything wrong with it really. In fact it may help the church.

of course they are "right" -- it's up to them to decide the rules for their own group.
