Is it possible, now we have all these changes, to ask a question, answer it, and award yourself best answer?

You can ask, and answer the question, however there are no points for answering it awarded, nor are you able to award yourself the best answer. The reason behind that is to prevent the point gamers, and spammers, from asking and then answering their own questions, then awarding themselves the best answer. By asking and then answering were there points available for doing so, someone could spend five points to ask a question, then turn around get two points back by answering it, and then award themselves the best answer gaining back three more points, and with the best answer alone, be ten points up.

This feature has been around a few months now. So it was somewhat better thought through, compared to some of the more recent ones pushed out.

You can ask a question, answer your own question but you are not allowed to give yourself best answer.

I don't know what happens if you try to give yourself best answer. I assume it just won't submit and probably has a message as to why it won't submit.
