Because people who rant about "taxation is theft" generally haven't thought about what they *get* from the government in return.

They will give you a multitude of reasons why you are taxed so heavily, but @ the end it comes down to this, Pay or go directly to jail.

However, If you want to remain a free man, then you must pay for your freedom and in today's society, this means pay the government a percentage of your income.

You the taxpayer, must also finance the Military Industrial Complex, this in order for the USA to remain the world's # 1 super power.

You the taxpayer must also finance the 50,000,000 plus citizens on welfare and let's not forget the billions paid out for prisoners.

The taxpayer carries a heavy financial burden and from all forecasts, you will be taxed even heavier as America continues to accumulate debt and your politicians spend recklessly.
