money issues. struggling. please help?

What are some legal things a teen can do for money? I'm fourteen going on fifteen and my family and I are kinda in a rut. I don't have much money for school clothes, mom is trying to pay bills, and sisters are trying to find a job but nothing is happening. Money is extremely tight and when my dad sens me money for school clothes, I'll be making half of them. (Designing) I'll also see if I can get a permit to work when I go to school. For this grocery store. My mom doesnt have the time to go fill out an application right now. We did one a few months bavk and they havent called. I used to sell candy in school in seventh grade which is kinda illegal. Any suggestions? Nothing super cliche like lemonade stands.. My neighbor hood doesn't get out a lot. But what do I do for now? I cant babysit.. And school starts back up in august around the sixth. Are there any websites that helps families? (Were NOT military either so..) Like for free? And we don't necessarily have to pay them back? services or something? I need answers please. I live in TN btw so if u know anything particular please let me know. I'm desperate. We needdddd the money. I've never struggled so much in my life.

If you are low income, you can go to food pantries for your groceries. The money saved on groceries can be used to pay utilities or other things. Making your own clothing does not usually save money. Fabric is expensive. You can get blue jeans and knit tops for a couple of bucks at a resale shop or goodwill, and that's all you really need for school. I don't know why you can't babysit, as that's what most teen girls do.

Pet sitting might be an option. It sounds like your Mom and Dad are separated or divorced, and your Dad seems to be paying child support, since you said he sends money for clothes. Some organizations give kids back packs and school supplies in August, so check that out online (google it) using your town and location. If you can sew, you might be able to mend clothing for people, but the problem is finding clients. A lot of people throw clothing away rather than mending it just because they don't know how or are too lazy to do it.

You can Google 211. It is a website that you can look up agencies in your state and area that help low income families. If your mom needs help with bills like electric she can contact the utility provider and ask about help. Usually they have assistance programs in place or know agencies that will help. You can see if your mom qualifies for food stamps.
