Do the States Appoint National Guard Officers?

Legally the National Guard is considered our organized militia right now. Constitutionally that should mean that the states are the authority in appointing officers for them. But I can't really find any info to see if that's actually what's going on right now. So do the states have such control right now? For all of the National Guard officers? For just some of them possibly?

yep, and th states set thier own rules

IE: to be commissioned active duty, you must have a 4 year college degree

but you can commission in the Guard, with a associates degree in some cases, with 3 years of college in most cases

and just have to earn your 4 year degree within 2 to 4 years after commissioning

Some states even have it, where if you are a combat veteran as an E-5 or above, you can apply to be commissioned -- again, you have to earn your college degree to stay commissioned

  • Don't worry about it. Just go to war So ragheads can kill you you worthless piece of 5hit. That's what war is. An extermination process for people like you. People who have no place in this world. Notice, no one who means anything to this world goes. Yet people like you do. You idiot.
