can you change the processor in a asus x75a laptop?
So im thinking about buying this Asus laptop for 200. Its on cragislist first of all. But the computer is about a year old and i was wondering if anyone knows if you can chage the proscesor for an i3 to an i5 or something. I want to use it for League of legends mainly, but i was wondering if its not worth spending for a gaming laptop.

first off, graphics power is what is important for games. just changing the processor will do absolutely nothing to boost your performance in that laptop, as you will be using the same integrated graphics (which do not suffice for gaming). but to answer your question, yes - that processor can be upgraded from an i3 to an i5. you will just have to google the model of the current i3 and see what socket type it is. it will most likely be lga 1150 or 1155. the new processor will have to be the same as the old one. but with a first glance at your computer knowledge, i would highly recommend you not taking a laptop apart for any reason.

See this:
The ASUS X75A provides a matte surface with classic suit pattern that demonstrates simplicity, realism, and originality.
Windows 7 Ultimate or other editions available, equipped with the Intel Core i3 or Pentium processors, the ASUS X75A delivers a great mobile performance, be it for work or play.
So better is be in i3.
