Why is anime/manga drawing style ostracized in college art classes?
Perhaps it's just my school, or just the teachers around me, but it sometimes feel like anime/manga drawing styles are ostracized in college classes. Perhaps this does not happen in Japan, but my school is in America, and I'd just like to get a feel for what other students think about this and why?

Well I think that it not the classics like Rembrandt or Leonardo. It not worth drawing. Manga is considered by many artist as subculture of art and not real art. at least that my experience.
