Has an NFL team ever made the playoffs & have the 1st overall pick?

The Cleveland Browns own Buffalo's 2015 1st Rounder. A lot of Mock Drafts have Buffalo as 1st Overall. If the Browns Miraculously make the playoffs. My he would have the 1st Overall & whatever their own pick is. (20-32) Has this happened before? Or would it be a first?

It hasn't happened in the Super Bowl era, I don't know before. But the Browns won't be the the first either, the Bills should be good enough for 6-8 wins.

I remember in 2007 they talked about the Patriots having the 2nd overall pick with the 49ers 1st round pick that they got from a trade. It didn't happen, the 49ers were still bad but not the worst.

I'm not sure if it has ever happened. But I think the only way its possible is because of a trade. The worst team in the league owns the number one pick.

Didn't the Chiefs have the #1 pick last year? They made it to the Playoffs.

I would actually expect Cleveland to have the number one pick and the number two pick next year.

Probably. Teams trade draft picks all the time.
