I don't agree with Gay Marriage. What is your response?
I don't agree with it, and I never have for some time. Mainly because of how much Media it gets, the supporters, and all the attention Gays get. Most being scandals and fake crimes.
I am asking this question because Gay Supporters have aggressively been attacking non-supporters on large sites...one being YouTube. And I want to see your response to me not supporting it.
some rude responses, but thanks for responding.
1. I said GAY Marriage, because if I said "I don't agree with marriage" people would get the wrong Idea.
2. I have more than one reason why I don't support it. If I told you some more, it may make you mad, or just not be "reasonable". In my opinion, there is no reason to make a reason for you to understand. Just accept it.
3. I dislike Gay Marriage, I don't want it to be banished or anything. I just dislike it.

So if you don't like gay marriage, don't have a gay wedding. There, problem solved. Wasn't that easy?
Meanwhile, out here in the real world it's a non-issue. Ask the populations of Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Uruguay. Marriage equality has been legal in those countries for much of the past decade and more. In all those years, after all those millions of marriages the sky still stubbornly refuses to fall. Nor has anyone even thought of trying to marry an animal, their sibling nor the entire neighbourhood. All the Fundies' fearmongering, dire predictions, wailings and gnashings of teeth have come to exactly nothing.

I have come to the conclusion that in the big picture, marriage was never really intended in the first place. It's just a made up concept that people in the past tried to force in a way. I think divorce is so high because we were never intended to actually pair up for life. Our sexuality is extremely imperfect for that. If we were really suppose to mate for life, then there could have been a much better sexuality for mankind. But as it is now, we constantly are looking for other relationships and if the right person comes along, would be very tempted to get with them behind closed doors.
So I think marriage in a sense is a nice concept, being IN LOVE for the rest of your life and having MARITAL BLISS until the day you die. But most of the time that is not the case. I think people are forcing a concept onto life that was never actually intended in the first place. If a couples relationship can get there for the most part them great, but it's not the default obviously.

I have no opinion, but I have a suggestion. If you don't "agree" with gay marriage, then don't marry someone of the same sex.

Well they got over interracial marriage, you'll get over gay marriage. But seriously if you don't support it... Good for you! Congrats do you want a trophy now?

Your reasoning sounds completely irrational. You don't agree with gay marriage because of the media attention and the fact that some gay folks make up fake hate crimes....how are these things even connected beyond the fact that gays are involved? The fact of the matter is that gay people can already get most of the benefits of marriage that the government offers if we spend thousands of dollars on lawyers to draw up the appropriate paperwork. This is an equal protection problem because a straight couple doesn't have to do any of that.
I'm still waiting for a logical reason to involve yourself in what relationships other people have. As long as all parties are consenting adults... What do I care if 3 dudes and 12 women decide to all marry each other? It's not something I want to do... But it doesn't affect me.

I would then suggest that you do not get married to a gay. We wont object.

You have a right to your opinion, but your logic for being against it seems to be rooted more on attention than the idea itself.
50% of all Hetero Marraiges end in separation within the 1st year. Many people are getting hitched two, three or four times and families are so mixed and scattered that the old idea of two people sticking it out through thick and thin and raising a family is no longer the norm. Personally, I feel that we should stop giving special treatment to "married" people (taxes, inheritance, visiting rights) and let people who want to be married in a religious ceremony do so and people who want to be married by a Justice of the Peace, do so as long as both parties are consenting adults, understanding the commitment they are making to each other and then make it much, much more difficult to divorce.
Marriage is not a honeymoon and party and when things get rough, you split. Yet it's the hetero community that has built it up and passed all these laws about spouses that are now seeing the chickens come home to roost. Who knows, the gay community may lower that first year failure rate which would be embarrassing for the hetero community that has been predicting the fall of civilization since gays got the right to marry.
No one is saying you have to marry someone of the same sex. But to deny two people who love each other and are willing to put the health, safety and welfare of the other before themselves is pretty special. It's what ALL married couples should do.

my response is "i really don't care"

I personally don't support it either mainly because my religion believes that god made boys and girls to love each other. But also, it's human rights and none of our business if they choose to be gay or not. But yes, I do agree with you.

You are right to not support it as it is indeed something evil and God guide these misguided souls
