suggestions on books to read?

i am in the preteen/teen phase right now and i am an avid reader.problem is i'm running out of books to try.i like stuff where the protagonist goes on adventures i also like fantasy, battles, superpowers, inhuman creaturesand mythical stuff.i read books like percy jackson, harry potter, secrets of the immortal nicholas flamel, stuff like that. i also like books with friends involved on it and dying and scenes that make me smile so that people in the bus think i must be mad also scenes that make me cry.i love getting mad at the villains too.thanks!

Update:

p.s. i hate those boring things they call "classics"

Mortal Instruments and sister series Infernal Devices (set in the US and Victorian England respectively). These follow female protagonists who discover the workings of an organisation (Shadowhunters/Nephilim) who protect unaware Mundanes (muggles) from demons usually, and sometimes troublesome vampires, werewolves, fairies, warlocks, and murderous automata... Of course there's lots of angst and relationship drama going on too! And lots of people die. A few of them don't stay that way but it does happen. And I can promise there's lots of snark and sarcasm too.

Poison by Chris Wooding follows the titular heroine as she rebels from home and goes on an adventure to rescue her little sister from the Phaeries. There are lots of fairytale and myth references and fantasy as a genre. At times it's metafictional - it's commenting on writing and fantasy itself. Poison is a great heroine and she gains a cute sidekick, Peppercorn, a grumpy old man and a very smart cat as teammates. There's a creepy witch too!

Finally, for something a bit easier to get into but still with silly jokes and death and MASSIVE PLOT TWISTS, try The Supernaturalists by Eion Colfer. It's a bit older than the Artemis Fowl books he's famous for, and stars a misfit gang of orphans who are brought together solely by the fact they can see these strange parasitical blue creatures that have started taking over the grimy futuristic city they live in and sucking the life from injured people. As few people can see them, the group decide they need to be stopped...
