Help me convince my dad to buy me a Surface Pro 3.?

Next year my school has BYOD so we have to bring in our own technology. MY dad apparently wants me to bring my mid 2010 Mac Pro. The thing is very heavy and carry it along with his charger it becomes a nightmare to carry and put in my backpack it becomes hell on my shoulders (I walk home). I have told my dad this and he says that he will take stuff out of the laptop like the optical drive (cd drive) and other stuff. That was just an excuse but secretly I have been wanting to buy the Surface Pro 3 and he says I'm too little and won't buy me an expensive device. I really like it and even though we have 24 laptops and 2 pcs I really want my own device. The Surface is good at note taking and is more productive than the Mac and on top of that I like computer programming and the power of a Mac is just too little on power and the Surface provides i7 processor. Please help me to convince my dad so he can buy me a Surface Pro 3.

P.S My dad is a Apple fanboy and he will refuse to buy anything that going against Apple. I know this is going to be hard but please give me ideas. He usually buys me whatever I want and the recent thing I got was 3000 dollar watch from omega but he is absolutely refusing to buy me a Surface Pro 3. I am not used to hearing a no and this is the first time he ever did say no to ME! Don't think Im a brat, I'm not so don't judge on my character just answer my question.
