A "silencer" on a springer is about as useful as **** on a bull.
The vast majority of noise created by springers comes from the compression chamber, not from air escaping the muzzle.
A silencer on a PCP on the other hand, can be quite effective.

IMO, you get far and away the most value for your money with a high quality S/H springer.
Under 350GBP - 12ft-lb - accurate - springer?
S/H Air Arms TX200
S/H Weihrauch HW80
Both are great rifles. I would give the edge in accuracy to the TX200
Pellets
Always use the one(s) your rifle prefers(accuracy) and the only way to determine that is to shoot a variety of good quality pellets. Generally speaking domed pellets are the most effective on small game(head shots only) while wadcutters are on pest birds(chest shot)
