Your opinion..Are the big fights fixed ?

I just watched (My recording) of the Canelo/Lara fight and thought that Lara had won. but, again the decision goes to the other guy Lara didn't run IMO but rather fought a very well planned hit and yes run style fight. He continually scored with the jab, points, and avoided most of Canelo's big shots, but did take the body punching well. Canelo was hit continually and missed a lot too.

If you remember growing up in the 60's this is exactly how Ali fought and would always get the judges vote. Now, it's considered running, now way.............Again, the high profile, promoter fighter gets the gift.

As they always said, never leave the result to the judges. Lara could have done better and to answer you, yes, it is possible with all these connections the promoters have. Canelo as we all know was a well protected fighter since then. He was slowly brought up fighting mediocre opponent until finally a fight with Floyd was made. It was a very good feeding that makes Floyd real good fighting an undefeated opponent.

If the fight happen in some other states like NY, Lara could have won. States have different preference. Some like power and aggression but some loved the style Lara used, Look at Algieri vs. Provo. Provo sent his opponent in the hospital a champion. If that is the state of Nevada, Provo will possibly emerge the winner. To actually say it is fixed is ridiculous but like I said it is very possible with the influence of these promoters who have a hand in the selection of the judges

Ali threw way more than Lara despite being a heavyweight plus his second fight with Liston was far more controversial than the Lara-Canelo fight. Lara was using movement but not engaging anywhere near as much as Ali.

How did you score the Lara-Canelo fight?

The close fights always end in controversy, there is no avoiding that. I thought it was a draw, but I gave most of the close rounds to Lara, so I could only see a draw or canelo win. Lara could have won, but he went for 6 rounds straight without throwing really any punches at all. He won't be in a PPV event anytime soon, if ever. His style isn't exactly fan friendly.

No Lara gave rounds away he could've won. He moved more than countered. His fault and his fault only. Levi Martinez is definitely corrupt and should be investigated. With that being said most experts, analysts, fighters and press had Canelo winning.

    It's more probable at Showtime.
