how to prepare for physics 2?

Hello :)

I will be doing general physics 2 this coming fall semester, so I wanted to prepare for it beforehand so that I don't struggle with the course. Is there any good website that can help me study? or any other sort of helpful review sources. and anyone have any idea what physics 2 is mostly about? I mean the most important topics for physics 2.

thnx

Get the textbook and start reading!

Buy a good outline. I recommend these and have a full set from my undergraduate days. Read the outline of theory and understand how theory applies to the worked problems. Just about every type problem you will face will have a worked example.

Pop into the physics department and ask them (or email). They will usually be more than pleased to help. Ask what what text-book they use so you can do some pre-reading.

  • Is this high school or college? In college, physics 2 was electricity and magnetism. Regardless of what it is, I would recommend a firm understanding of physics 1 as well as a firm understanding of the mathematics involved (such as converting units, calculus as it relates to position, velocity and acceleration, etc.)
