What to dress newborn in when leaving hospital in December?
Never had a winter baby, would a onesie footed pajamas, hat, gloves, and a heavy blanket to cover the carseat be good enough? Or do i need to find a newborn coat.
Thanks

No coat needed, and actually, you should never dress your infant in a puffy coat when they will be riding in their carseat. A puffy coat puts too much space between the carseat straps and the baby's body, and the baby could actually slip out of her restrains in the event of a collision. So any time you need to put your baby in a heavy or puffy winter coat, take it off of the baby before putting her in the carseat and lay it on her lap, and then put the coat on her once you've arrived at your destination.

Don't think you need a coat, blankets will be enough, he is only going from the hospital to the car. Don't think they make coats for newborns anyways.
