why does the guard like daya? Orange is the new black?
OK so I'm binge watching Orange is the new black (im on eps. 6) and maybe I missed what happened but why does daya and the guard Bennett have a relationship.? I mean how? What happened? Did they exchange googly eyes at each other or something?!?! No answers online and I need to know. I'm lost.

It started in about the second episode when Daya asked him for a piece of gum and he said he couldn't allow "special treatment," she asked him if he liked her and he avoided the question. After the next bed search, there was a piece of gum on her pillow. THEN the whole hanging the drawing on the wall thing (which she used the gum he gave her to do). Then he helped her detach her necklace from her uniform and the rest is history. Hope that helped! :)

They have a realtionship because days had a picture she drew and she wanted to hang it in her cell and her cell mate didn't want it up. So they got the guard Bennett to say if it stays or go down and he liked the picture and said something like you drew this your self and she was like yeah and they started having eye contact from distance and exchange love notes and hooked up
