Whats a good drink for electrolytes after a workout besides Gatorade Powerade etc.?

I want a healthier drink than Gatorade or anything similar. Ive heard Coconut water is a good source of electrolytes but I want to see what other options there are.

Just eat a banana. It has potassium (an electrolyte that many people are lacking in) and it will restore you with those quick carbs you need. For a more complete snack pair it with a tablespoon or two of nut butter or a half cup cottage cheese so you're getting your post workout protein as well.

Basically after your workout you want a carb and a protein, and drinks like powerade are not the way to go.

    Try:

Apple with 2 oz turkey and 1 oz cheese

1 banana blended with 1 cup chocolate milk and 1 tablespoon peanut butter

1 cup greek yogurt with fruit (like peaches)

Small turkey/ roast beef sandwich (no mayo, choose something more nutritious)

Electrolytes are pretty much things like calcium, potassium, sodium, etc. Most healthy post workout snacks will contain them minus all the added sugars of Gatorade.

if you're looking for healthy energy drinks, Verve is great! they have many different flavors, AND they have different drinks for how much energy you need. I always drink them before and after workouts. but the best part is- they're good for you!
