Can you get your vehicle inspected with an old registration?

I have misplaced the registration that is valid but still have my old ones. It has the registration number and license number on it so I wasn't sure if it would be okay to use to get my car inspected. The tag on my car is valid

I would think the first thing inspector is going to ask for is registration / proof of ins. Your tag maybe valid but you still don't have your papers in order. You have to drive to the place to get inspected, so technically you are not legal driving. I could be wrong.

As Daryl said it depends on the state but I think most are about the same . SO YES you should be able to use anything as long as it's got the VIN number on it

There should be no problem, but it may depend on what state you are in. Most times all you need is current proof of insurance which has all the info on your card.
