When I play a soundtrack from my files, Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. message comes in, I can watch videos on WMP but I cannot hear anything, also when I go online I cannot hear anything as well

the thing is that I've installed VLC and the sound still does not work on VLC nor WINAMP.....When I restart the program the sound comes back on but later on if I am not playing anything it won't work again. Thank you guys for your answers

download VLC Player & check for Sound or else sound card might not working

Stop using that terrible program. Use VLC instead (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)
